Miss Elsie Stambaugh, of this city, and Mr. Paul Kelly of Greenwood, Neb., were married at Lincoln, Wednesday, April 19, Rev. Howard R. Chapman, pastor of the Baptist church in Lincoln, officiating. They will make their home on a farm near Yutan.

Pedestrian Dies; Toll Rises to 22

Portland's traffic death toll stood at 22 Thursday morning with the death in Providence hospital of Paul Daniel Kelly, 48, of 3636 N. E. Grand avenue, who suffered fatal injuries at 11:15 P. M. Wednesday when struck by an automobile at N. E. 82d avenue and Graham street while jaywalking.

Kelly, who had just parked his own car on the west side of 82d avenue, suffered fractures of both legs and of the head when he was hit while crossing the street by a northbound automobile driven by Gerald D. Danielson, 17, of 5825 N. E. Portland boulevard.

Danielson, who police reported was traveling at a speed of 55 miles an hour, was charged with reckless driving. He said he attempted to swerve past the pedestrian but struck him as he neared the east curbline.

Former Greenwood Man Killed By Auto

Paul D. Kelly, a former resident of Greenwood, was killed when he was struck by an automobile in Portland, Ore. May 30th.

The first word of his death was received by his daughters, Mrs. Lucille Butler and Mrs. Irene Johnson, both of whom now live at Scottsbluff. Besides the two daughters, he is survived by one brother, W. L. Kelly of Greenwood.

Services and burial were held at Portland, Ore.
