Karl Kurzbin Takes Watsonville Girl As Bride

In Del Monte Tuesday, Karl Kurzbin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Kurzbin of Ygnacio valley, was married to Miss Rhea Rowe of Watsonville. The wedding was a very quiet one, only relatives attending.

The bridegroom is a member of one of the most prominent families in this part of the state, and is a young man of fine character and ability. He graduated from Mt. Diablo Union High School and later attended Heald's Business College. His bride is also well known here, being a former teacher in the Oak Grove school. During the past year she has been teaching in Sunnyvale.

Plans had been made for an elaborate wedding, but were changed on account of the sudden death of the bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Augusta Lamb, who passed away last week. The ceremony was performed in the Episcopal church in Del Monte.

The couple will reside in San Jose.

No funeral services are scheduled for Karl R. Kurzbin whi died Friday at a local hospital. He was 78.

Born in Concord, Calif., Mr. Kurzbin was a resident of Scotts Valley for approximately 13 years.

He is survived by his wife Rhea Kurzbin of Scotts Valley.
