Miss M. Briggs Is Married

Cruise for Wedding Trip

In a setting of seasonal flowers, pink predominating, and accented by mauve, Miss Marjorie Grace Briggs became the bride of Mr. Charles Fairweather Kydd on Tuesday evening. Rev. C. C. Owen officiated at the ceremony which was performed in St. Mark's Church at 8 p.m.

The bride, for whom many hostesses have entertained in the past few weeks, is the twin daughter of Mrs. Annie M. Briggs and the late T. L. Briggs, while the groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Kydd. Mr. Jack Pontifex was best man and ushers were Mr. Hal Bevans jr., Mr. Reginald Galloway, Mr. Bertram Storey and Mr. Gordon Pearson. Miss M. Evelyn Briggs was her sister's only attendant. During the signing of the register Mrs. Frank Wilson gave a vocal selection.

Mr. Cuthbert W. Briggs gave his sister in marriage. Fashioned of silver glow satin, the wedding gown with its simply moulded lines was complemented by the Brussels net veil which fell from a closely ruched crown, outlined by orange blossoms, beyond the long dress train. The bride also wore an heirloom brooch of carved ivory mounted in silver. Her shower bouquet was white, formed of bridal roses encircled by lily of the valley.
