Wilmington, N. C., July 16.—A quiet, but decidedly pretty home wedding was celebrated yesterday afternoon at 6 o'clock at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Butler, No. 216 south Third street. It was the wedding of their charming and talented daughter, Miss Edith Wilson Butler, and Mr. Harry F. Kydd, of Vancouver, British Columbia. The parlors of the Butler home were beautifully decorated for the happy event, which was witnessed by relatives and friends of the popular couple. There were no attendants. The bride was attired in a handsome tailor-made traveling suit.
Following the wedding the happy couple left on the northbound Atlantic Coast Line train, their ultimate destination being Vancouver, where they will make their future home, but on their way north they will stop at all the principal cities.
The groom at one time was a popular resident of Wilmington, being cashier here for the Armour Packing company. He resigned from this responsible position to return home and embark in the hardward business for himself.
