Ernie Lee, City Patrolman, Dies Of Heart Attack

Likable Ernest M. Ernie) Lee, Eaton city patrolman and meter checker for the past month, died Monday about noon while eating lunch at the Arcade restaurant. He was 60 years old.

Attending physician, Dr. C. J. Brian, said death was due to a heart attack. lee had been ill for several days suffering from a siege of influenza but was back on the job recently.

The Eaton patrolman was a longtime employee of the State Highway department. He retired last year. Mr. Lee was born near Eldorado and was a nativ eo fthis county.

During 1931 and 1932 he was affilliated with the Ohio Achelogical and Historical Society as caretaker of Fort Ancient State Park near Oregonia.

He was the father of Joseph H. Lee, county, deputy sheriff. He resided at 1123 East Wadsworth street here.

Survivors include the widow, Elsie; the son, Joseph, of Eldorado; a brother, Crayton, of Spartanburg, Ind., and one grandchild.

Services will be held Thrusday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Barnes Funeral Home with Rev. Duckwall, pastor of the Springfield, O., E. U. E. church officiating. Burial in Spring Lawn cemetery at New Paris.
