Wilbur "Bud" Lewis

NEW, MADISON, Ohio — Wilbur "Bud" Lewis, 72, 275 W. Washington St., died Sunday evening in Wayne Hospital in Greenville where he was admitted earlier in the day.

He was a native of Richmond, Ind. and had been in failing health for the past few years. He had lived in the Bethel, Ind. area before moving here more than 31 years ago. He was a former inventory clerk et the old A.G. Luken Drug Co. in Richmond, retiring from there in 1974.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Bear Lewis; three sons, Robert of Brookville, Michael of Jonesboro, Ga., and Ronald of Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Joan Brawley of Fountain City, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services for Wilbur "Bud" Lewis will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Storch-Braund Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Kasunic officiating. Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Heart Association.

Pauline V. Lewis

NEW MADISON, Ohio — Pauline V. Lewis, 86, 2070 Chester Blvd., Richmond, formerly of 275 W. Washington St., died Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Heritage House of Richmond.

She was born in Richmond to John and Amanda Blue Bear. She had worked at Belden Corp. in Richmond, and also had been a seamstress, owning and operating a sewing shop in New Madison. She was a member of the New Madison United Methodist Church and the auxiliary of Laroy Farst American Legion, No. 245. Her husband, Wilbur Lewis, died in September 1981.

Survivors include three sons, Robert A. Lewis of Brookville, Ohio, Ronald K. Reece of Richmond, Va., and Mike Lewis of Jonesboro, Ga.; one daughter, Joann Brawley of Fountain City, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Bair of Cypress, Ill. and Calvin Bear of Richmond; one sister, Mary St. Sauveur of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at Storch-Braund Funeral Home in New Madison, with the Rev. J. Mark Hensley officiating. Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 and one hour before the service at the funeral home.
