AVERY A. LANE

Avery A. Lane, 58, of 405 South Fourth street, died Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth hospital following an illness of one month. He had been a patient there nine days.

Born in Tipton, he was married in 1936 to Adeline Bresnahan, who survives. Mr. Lane was a veteran of World war I. He was a moulder for the Leaman Welding and Machine company. Prior to that he had worked at the McGrath foundry and for the Schwab Safe company. He came here in 1934.

Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Patricia, three stepchildren, Charles and Janice MacIntire, both at home and William MacIntire, stationed at Ft. Knox, Ky., and a sister, Mrs. James Golden, R. 8.

CHARLES MacINTIRE

Charles L. MacIntire, father of local resident, William E. MacIntire, died at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday in Red Oaks Nursing Home at Michigan City. He had been in ill health two months and a patient at the nursing facility one week.

Born in Indianapolis, he lived there until moving to Michigan City three years ago, where he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Harold (Janice) McMinimy. He was a 1923 graduate of Purdue University in the School of Electrical Engineering.

Mr. MacIntire was an employee of Western Electric at Cicero, Ill., from 1925-1932, and worked at Diamond Chain Co. at Indianapolis for 25 years, retiring in 1960.

He was a member of First Friends Church at Indianapolis, and was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving with the son and daughter is another son, Charles F. MacIntire of Delphi.

M. Adeline Lane, 96

M. Adeline Bresnahan MacIntire Lane, 96, died at 12:58 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2003, in St. Anthony Health Care.

Born Oct. 13, 1906, in Lafayette, where she lived most of her life, she was a graduate of St. Ann's Elementary School and Lafayette Business College.

She married Avery A. Lane on Jan. 1, 1936, in Niles, Mich. He died April 13, 1952.

Mrs. Lane was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She enjoyed music, including early 20th century singers and singing, classic Hollywood movie stars, and the Cincinnati Reds.

Surviving are two daughters, Janice McManomy of Michiana Shores and Patricia Viola of Lafayette; two sons, Charles F. MacIntire (wife: Geneieve) of Fort Myers, Fla. and William E. MacIntire (wife: Mary) of West Lafayette; and three brothers, Harry Bresnahan and John Bresnahan, both of Lafayette; and Robert Bresnahan of Florida.

William E. MacIntire, 84

William E MacIntire, 84, of West Lafayette passed away Friday, February 7, 2014, at St. Elizabeth East. He was born January 6, 1930, in Lafayette to the late Charles MacIntire and Adeline Bresnahan Lane. Bill gaduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Mary Charlesworth Kolb in 1980 and she survives. Bill was a devoted husband and Mary was the love of his life. William worked as a sheet metal worker with the Sheet Metal Workers Local 20 Union for 60 years and had worked at Snyder-Lehnen for many years. He was a member of St. Boniface Church, Eagles and Moose Lodge, American Legion and the VFW. Bill enjoyed traveling, professional sports of all kinds, and spending time with his family.

Surviving along with his wife are children Cindy Landseadel (Bob) of Lafayette, Donita Navarra (Fred) of West Point, Mike Kolb (Brenda) of West Lafayette, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving is his sister Janice McManomy of Michiana Shores, IN and a brother Charles MacIntire (Genevieve) of Ft. Myers, FL. Bill was preceded in death by a son Billy Kolb, sisters Patty Viola and Joann MacIntire, and his brother Dickie Lane.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to a 2:00 PM funeral service Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
