DOVER — Charles J. Michaels, 70, of 191 Shawnee Ave., died Monday at York Hospital.
He was the husband of Hilda C. Michaels.
Mr. Michaels was born in York. He was the son of the late George Z. and Mary R. Geiselman Michaels.
He was retired as a foreman at Shipley Humble Inc. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Survivors include:
Two sons — George Michaels, Dallastown RD 2, and Charles J. Michaels Jr., Thomasville.
A daughter — Sally Tedesco, Holmes, Pa.
Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A sister — Iola Cassel, Dover.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at David E. Small Funeral Home, Roosevelt and Madison avenues. The Rev. John C. Crawford, pastor of Otterbein United Methodist Church, York, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.

DOVER — Mrs. Hilda C. Michaels, 70, York, formerly of 191 Shawnee Ave., died at 11:08 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Charles J. Michaels Sr.
Mrs. Michaels retired from Bon Ton Foods Inc. in 1980. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, the Senior Citizens Center in Weigelstown and the American Association of Retired Persons, Dover Chapter.
Born in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Marshall Raifsnider.
Survivors include:
Two sons — George E. Michaels, Dallastown RD 2, and Charles J. Michaels Jr., Thomasville RD 2.
A daughter — Sally Tedesco, Holmes, Delaware County.
Five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A sister — Rhoda Black, York.
Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Baumeister & Orcutt Mortuary Inc., South Queen and East Jackson streets.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Mrs. Michaels' pastor, the Rev. C. John Crawford, will officiate.
Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.
