James E. Money, 66, of 101 Alcove Dr., a retired railroader and resident of Grand Junction for most of his life, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Mary's Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Money had worked for the D&RG railroad for 48 years, retiring March 1, 1978, as an engineer.
Born in Grand Junction Feb.11, 1913, Mr. Money attended schools at Soldier's Summit and Mr. Pleasant, Utah, and Mesa College. He married Delphine Hall at Denver Oct. 29, 1949. He was a member of the United Transportation Union, and the Rio Grande Veterans Club. His hobbies were gardening, fishing and traveling.
Surviving are a daughter, Katherine Riley, of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Robert Money of Hartford, Conn.; a sister, Thelma Evans of Denver; and two grandchildren.

Delphine C. Money of Grand Junction died Nov. 6 at Mesa Manor Care Center. She was 94. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 12 at Lutheran Church of Messiah. A visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Orchard Mesa Cemetery. She was born on Nov. 5,1913 in New Rockford, N.D., the daughter of Clayton and Alvina (Nibbe) Hall. Delphine married James E. Money on Oct. 29, 1949 in Denver. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1979. She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years working in city government. Del was a longtime member of Lutheran Messiah. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. She is survived by her sister, Vivian Patnode of Grand Junction; a son-in-law, David Riley of Grand Junction; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; dear friends, Bill and Betty Bennett of Grand Junction; two nieces, Lorraine Benson and Marian (Grant) Merrill. Del was also preceded in death by her parents, stepdaughter, Katherine Riley and a brother, Harry Hall. Memorials may be given to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado, P.O.
