She was born in February, 1861 in Tennessee, and died August 22, 1912 in Smith County, Texas.¹⁰⁵ She is buried in Palestine City Cemetery, Anderson County, Texas.^{551, 456}

PALESTINE, November 30.—Last evening, at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. O. B. Sawyers, Mr. J. W. Norwood, of Coriscana, was united in marriage to Miss Eula N. Sawyers, Rev. Mr. Mathis officiating. There was an elegant bridal supper, after which the happy pair departed for their home, near Corsicana.

PALESTINE, Tex., Feb 15.—The residence of John Norwood, four miles north of town, together with all the furniture, was destroyed by fire Saturday night. Loss, $700; no insurance.

Norwood.—Palestine, Tex., Aug. 24.—Mrs. Ena Sawyers Norwood, wife of John W. Norwood, died Thursday night at the family residence after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Friday morning from the Christian Church and interment made in the East Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Norwood was a prominent citizen of this county and leaves a large number of relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
