Lockwood Luminary: DeLloyd Joiner and Miss Beatrice Osenbaugh were married December 23 and succeeded in keeping the fact a secret for a few days. However, their friends succeeded in gaining the information. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. I. Sturman and has made her home and was reared by them since the death of her mother several years ago. She is a graduate of Lockwood high school and at present is teaching Rocky Hill school north of town. DeLloyd is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ombra Joiner. He was an employe of Thieman Brothers store for several years. The present time he is employed by his father in charge of his transfer business. The young people will make their home in Lockwood and have the best wishes of their friends for their future happiness.

EDWARD A. POLSTON

Edward A. Polston, 39-year-old former Lockwood resident, died Sunday at Midland, Tex., after a long illness.

A member of the Christian Church, Mr. Polston had been an oil field worker at Midland 10 years.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; two daughters, Shirley and Sharon of the home; his mother, Mrs. Flossie Polston of Lockwood; five sisters, Mrs. Edna Taylor and Mrs. Clara Daniels of Lockwood, Mrs. Ruby Mabee of Midland, Tex., Mrs. Blanche Grider of San Angelo, Tex., and Mrs. Aline Halfacer of Eldorado, Tex., and three brothers, Oren of Abilene, Tex., James of Sterling, Colo., and Lindall of Eldorado, Tex.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Lockwood Baptist church by the Rev. Milton Elmore. Burial will be in Lockwood Cemetery under direction of Allfson of Greenfield.
