Cards have been received announcing the marriage of Miss Eleanor Dyer, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Royal Homer Dyer of Spokane, formerly of Sheridan, and Albert Lloyd Pence jr., the wedding taking place Saturday, Oct. 26, in Spokane.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor-length gown of brown velvet, with small close-fitting hat and other accessories in a matching shade.
The maid of honor, Miss Farr, of Spokane, wore a gown of green velvet made floor length and a black hat. Mrs. Dyer, mother of the bride, was gowned in ginger brown silk crepe with brown accessories.
Peter Pence, a brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Junod, former Sheridan residents.
Yellow and bronze chrysanthemums and autumn leaves, decorated the spacious rooms and a mound of Talisman roses formed the central motif for the table.
The bride, who is well known in Butte and Sheridan, was graduated from the Sheridan high school with the class of '28, and from the University of Montana in '32. For one year she taught in the Virginia City high school and for the past two years has been employed in the treasury department of the Federal Land Bank of Spokane.
Mr. Pence, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Pence of Payette, Ida., received his education in the schools of Payette and is a graduate of the Idaho university at Moscow. For the past several years he has been associated with the Bureau of Blister Rust control, Department of Agriculture, with headquarters in Spokane. He is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

Funeral services were held today for Albert L. Pence, vice president of Lecoutour Construction Co., at Hoffmeister undertaking establishment, 6464 Chippewa street. Burial, with military honors, was in Jefferson Barracks cemetery.
Mr. Pence, 55 years old, died at DePaul Hospital Wednesday of a brain tumor. He retired as a lieutenant colonel from the Army reserve last year and had been on active duty from 1942 to 1946 and again from 1948 to 1954. He had received two Silver Stars for gallantry in action. He lived at 1310 Tahiti drive, Crestwood.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice; two daughters, Misses Patrica Ann and Katherine Sue Pence, and two sons, Albert and Roger Pence.

Mrs. Eleanore Dyer Pence, 65, Spokane, fourth grade teacher at Brentwood School, died Sunday, Nov. 7, in a hospital. She was hospitalized a month ago with pneumonia.
Mrs. Pence was a past president of Spokane Business and Professional Women's Club and was a charter member and vice regent of Jonas Babcock Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She also was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church, where services were at 11 a.m. last Thursday; Alpha Sigma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, education honorary, and the Spokane Club.
Mrs. Pence was born in Montana and graduated from the Sheridan High School with the class of 1928.
Eleanor was very active in high school and earned many scholastic honors and wa an honor student all through her school years in Sheridan.
She was outstanding as an extemporaneous speaker and in 1928 won third place in the extemporaneous contest at the State Interscholastic held in Missoula. She represented the Sheridan High School in the State Scholastic in 1926 and 1927.
After graduation from high school she attended the University of Montana graduating in 1932 with a degree in Education.
Eleanor was the only daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. R. H. Dyer of Sheridan.
She had been with the Mead School District 20 years, teaching at Farwell Elementary School and Mead Junior High School.
Earlier she had worked at the Bon Marche as secretary to the manager.
Surviving are two sons, Bert L., Austin, Tex., and Roger, Westminster, Calif., and two granddaughters.
