Rev. A. F. Randall Married

The Spokane Spokesman-Review of July 3 had this notice in reference to the former popular rector of the Church of the Epiphany of this city:

"The Rev. A. F. Randall, rector of the Holy Trinity Episcopal church, accompanied by his bride, formerly Mrs. Anna Bruce Smith of Wichita Falls, Texas, arrived last night. They are living at W1832 Dean avenue. The ceremony was performed in St. John's cathedral, Denver, at noon Wednesday, June 30, by the Rev. H. Martin Hart, dean of the cathedral. A brother of the bride, Nathan Henderson of Tampa, Fla., gave the bride away and William McCutcheon, president of the Colorado State Savings bank, was best man. The cathedral was selected for the wedding as Bishop George M. Randall, first bishop of Colorado and formerly in charge of the cathedral, was a distant relative of the Rev. Mr. Randall. A wedding dinner was served in the Bron Palace and the couple left for Spokane. The Rev. Mr. Randall will occupy his pulpit tomorrow."

Rev. A. F. Randall's friends who are legion, will extend congratulations. He was a hard worker here for his church and his charities. He has been at Spokane, Wash. since leaving here and in charge of one of the large congregations and the city selected him to hand its United Charitable associations and he has made good.

NEW PASTOR FOR TWIN FALLS

Rev. A. F. Randall Will Fill the Episcopal Pulpit

Ref. A. F. Randall of Newton, Kan., has been appointed by Bishop Funsten of the Episcopal church as clergyman in charge of Shoshone, Minidoka and Twin Falls. He will reside at American Falls, coming here every third Sunday in the month. That Mr. Randall was popular and successful in his Kansas pastorate is shown by the following from the Newton (Kan.) Evening Republican:

The vestry of St. Matthews parish met last evening to act upon the resignation of Rev. A. F. Randall, who has accepted a position out west. While the gentlemen regretted to do so the resignation was accepted and plans were made for going on with the services commencing next Sunday as had been planned with J. R. Duff as reader.

Mr. Randall's brother will ship the household goods, so that Newton people will not have the pleasure of again seeing Mr. Randall or his mother. The community as well as the church regrets the departure of Rev. Randall, who has proven himself a genial friend as well as a capable leader. St. Matthews parish has flourished under his guidance. Most satisfactory improvements have been made upon the church edifice, the financial condition was of the best and the congregation was working in the utmost harmony. The circumstances attending the later call were so favorable, however, that they fell Rev. Randall fully justified in accepting it.

Vestryman Says Resignation Will Not Be Accepted Until Successor Is Chosen

The Rev. A. F. Randall, for the last three and a half years rector of the Holy Trinity Episcopal church, during which time he has been active in affairs of the district, chaplain of St. Luke's hospital and a member of the Spokane charity commission, tendered his resignation to his vestry at a meeting Tuesday afternoon and announced his intention of spending winter in Los Angeles.

Resignation Not Accepted

The resignation has not been accepted, and W. Lloyd Scott, a member of the vestry, said that it would not be accepted until another minister is in view. The Rev. Mr. Randall has recommended that the Rev. James A. Palmer of Roslyn, Wash., be considered, and his name has been taken under consideration by the vestry members.

Since the Rev. Mr. Randall has taken charge of Holy Trinity the membership has increased, the Sunday school has doubled, Minturn hall has been built at a cost of $5000, and only a debt of $2000 remains against the parish, which had a deb of $1900 when the Rev. Mr. Randall came here.
