Feb. 14, 1905 — June 28, 1996

Services fro Ruth Caroline Henderson Roatcap of Grand Junction will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Montrose Valley Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd McMillan officiating. Burial will be in Valley Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Roatcap died of natural causes Friday in LaVilla Grande Care Center. She was 91.

She was born Feb.14, 1905, to Isaac and Kate Carkhuff Henderson in Solomon, Kan. She spent her childhood in Montrose and graduated from Montrose High School in 1923.

She married Robert Roatcap on April 24, 1926. He died in 1977.

Mrs. Roatcap was an administrative secretary and had worked fro Mutual Savings and Loan in Grand Junction and after moving to Denver she worked at Martin Marietta and the Methodist Church headquarters. She had also lived in Salida.

Survivors include a son, Robert of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; two daughters, Mildred Truitt of Lake Tamarisk, Calif., and Kay Russell of Cedaredge; a sister, Katherine Walker of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Three brothers, Roy, Walter and Erwin; and two sisters, Mildred and Rose; are deceased.
