The marriage of Rowena Rockwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvard S. Rockwell, and William Biddle Langworthy, son of Mrs. Dorothy L. Gates of Leavenworth, Kan., will take place on Saturday at the Woman's club.
The ceremony in the library for the immediate families will be followed by a reception in the lounge at 8:30 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Rockwell will give the bridal dinner Friday at the Calhoun Beach club for their daughter and Mr. Langworthy. Mrs. Gates will be here for the wedding. Mr. Langworthy, and his best man, J. Henry Richmond of New York city, will arrive from New York where Mr. Langworthy is taking the law course at Columbia University.

William Biddle "Bill" Langworthy, former mayor of Angleton and father of Houston Chronicle Outlook Page editor David Langworthy, died Aug. 29 in Framingham, Mass. He was 85.
Bill Langworthy was mayor of Angleton from 1957-59 and was active in building the Republican Party in Brazoria County.
Born Dec. 14, 1919, in Leavenworth, Kan., he graduated in 1941 from the University of Kansas. During World War II, he served as an officer in the Army in the Pacific.
After the war, he received a law degree from Columbia University.
Langworthy then became a briefing attorney for the Texas Supreme Court in Austin. He moved to Angleton in 1949 and practiced law with the late state Sen. Jimmy Phillips Sr.
An Eagle Scout, Langworthy served on the Bay Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He also received Scouting's Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service.
In addition to his son, Langworthy is survived by his wife, Rowena Rockwell Langworthy, of Centerville, Mass.; another son, Timothy Langworthy, of St. Louis; and two daughters, Barbara Langworthy, of Ashland, Mass., and Libby Langworthy, of Alexandria, Va.
The time and place of a memorial service in Massachusetts will be announced.

Rowena R. Langworthy of Centerville, formerly of Marblehead, died on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008.
She was born in Minneapolis, Minn., December 14, 1922, the second daughter of the late Harvard and Mildred Rockwell.
She graduated from Simmons College in 1945 and married William B. Langworthy in 1947. Mr. Langworthy died in 2005.
Mrs. Langworthy leaves her sisters, Connie O'Neill of Greens Farms, Conn., and Jean Anderson of Brentwood, Calif.; her children, David, Tim (Mary), Barbara and Libby (Jon Fleuchaus); and five grandsons, Andrew, Sam and Jack Langworthy and Wesley and Sam Fleuchaus.
Mrs. Langworthy loved being a mother most of all, but she also enjoyed the many years she spent as a guide at the Jeremiah Lee Mansion.
A remembrance will be held Saturday, April 5, at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Marblehead Museum & Historical Society, 170 Washington St., Marblehead, MA 01945.
