Paul Rubincam Becomes Director Of Chest Drive

Taking over the top office of the Albuquerque Community Chest today is Paul P. Rubincam, longtime leader in Red Feather activities.

He replaces Timothy E. Shea, 1954 Chest president, who is being transferred by the Western Electric Corp. to another city.

"We are sorry to lose a good man like Tim Shea," Rubincam said. "Like the rest of the board, he is anxious that the 1954 fund drive shall go over the top. I urge all campaigners to help make this wish come true."

Rubincam, who is a partner in the firm of Anderman, Glassbrook & Rubincam, first came to Albuquerque in 1930. Except for several years in Denver and a period of military service, he has been here ever since.

A past Red Feather drive vice-chairman, he has served on the Chest board for three years. For the past two years, he has been chairman of the board's budget committee.

Budget work involves extensive studies of the needs of Albuquerque's 23 Red Feather agences, and the offering of the kind of financial advice that will assure the most community service for the donor's dollar.

Rubincam has also served as vice president of the board this year and chairman of the quota evaluation committee.

"He has given more time for Community Chest work this year than any other individual," points out Jefferson E. Greer, executive director of the Chest.
