Motorist Dies at While of His Auto

Ora James Sanders, 60, of 505 Mira Vista Avenue, suffered an apparent heart attack yesterday while en route to Highland Hospital to meet his doctor, and collapsed at the wheel of his car at Lakeshore Avenue and East 18th Street.

The automobile carreened out of control across a dividing strip and knocked down one stop sign before it came to a halt in a lily bed.

Sanders was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. He earlier had called his physician to complain of feeling ill and was on his way to meet him when overcome.

A retired mail carrier, Sanders is survived by his widow, Alice, 61.

McMillen of Santa Maria and Arthur G. McMillen of Everson, Wash. A native of South Dakota; aged 86 years. A member of the First Methodist Church of Oakland, many years a member of Rebecca and Eastern Star Lodges.

Friends are invited to attend services Tuesday, June 20, at 2:30 p.m. at TRUMAN'S CHAPEL, Telegraph Ave, at 30th St., Oakland, Rev. Warren Sanders officiating. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery.
