Short Biography of Inez M. Sawyers

Sprightly Miss Sawyers, who instructs Upper School and Lower School art classes and sponsors the Art Club, is a native of Jacksonville, Texas. Painting and attending art exhibitions are among her chief interests, of course, but she also loves to travel; Mexico is her favorite destination, the East and West Coasts tying for second. Miss Sawyers attended Baylor College, Columbia University, Troebel-Lee, and Pearson's School of Design, majoring in art and modern dance. She studied with Martha Graham in New York and continued her studies in Tulsa and Dallas. Attention art students! Miss Sawyers' pet peeve is unfinished art projects. We hope that Miss Sawyers will continue her work at S. M. H. with many future art classes.
