Wedding Planned For Saturday

Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Risser announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Katherine, and Ernst Schaekel, son of Mrs. Maybelle Schaekel.

The wedding will take place Saturday. After Nov. 1, the couple will be at home in Lincoln.

Funeral For Mrs. Schaekel Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine (Kay) Schaekel, 31, of 2230 Sheridan, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roper & Sons Chapel. The Rev. David Gracey will officiate. Burial will be in Wyuka.

Mrs. Schaekel, secretary of the Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce, died suddenly Monday of a heart attack.

A native of Lincoln, she was a graduate of the University of Nebraska and a member of Phi Mu sorority.

After graduation, she was employed as a secretary at Bankers Life Insurance Co. She later was secretary to the principal of the Riverton, Wyo., schools and worked in Washington, D. C. and New York City.

Mrs. Schaekel returned to Lincoln four years ago and worked for Program Service before joining the Chamber.

She was married to Ernst Schaekel after returning to Lincoln.

Surviving are her husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Risser of Lincoln; one sister, Betty Risser of Lincoln; and one brother, J. Vaulx Risser of Lincoln.
