LOOK WHO'S HERE HAROLD A GROOM

Cupid Enmeshes Harold Scott and Leads Him to the Altar in The Sunny South

Local Bachelor Banker and Fan Succumbs to Winsomeness of One of Kentucky's Fair Daughters—To Live Here.

Cupid has achieved another victory withing the ranks of Maple City bachelordom, according to wireless advises from Hopkinsville, Ky., this morning. This story, in brief, has it that Harold Scott, banker and thirty-second degree baseball fan, has become enmeshed in the net and will lead to the altar in Hopkinsville tomorrow evening one of Kentucky's fair daughters, Miss Daisy Williams.

The announcement which is confirmed by the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Scott, and also by a newspaper clipping from Hopkinsville, will startle the young banker's many friends in the Maple City who have come to regard him as a confirmed bachelor. THe only explanation which they can give is Harold's interest in making good Monmouth's "thirty thousand" guarantee to the Central association by adding another regular attendant at the Eleventh street park.

The ceremony, according to announcement, will be celebrated tomorrow evening at Hopkinsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Scott will leave at once for Monmouth where they are expected Wednesday evening or Thursday. Monmouth, of course, will be their future home.

Stole March on Friends.

The march which Harold stole on his many friends here was complete. He slipped away a few days ago, tellilng bank officials and friends that he was going south on his annual vacation. He wore his best clothes, however, and a pleasant smile and there were suspicions. Father and mother were the only ones taken into the secret and they kept the story until a Hopkinsville paper blew into Monmouth this morning with the wedding announcement.

This is what the paper says, and it tells the story in part:

Dr. and Mrs. M. W. Williams announce the approaching marriage of their niece, Daisy Williams to Mr. Harold Usher Scott.

The foregoing announcement will be received with much interest in society. Miss Williams is a charming and accomplished youg woman, and Mr. Scott, who formerly resided here, is a prominent young business man of Monmouth, Ill. The ceremony will be performed next Tuesday evening at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Williams and the Rev. H. D. Smith will be the officiating clergyman.
