Marriage Announcement

Salina friends are in receipt of invitations sent out by Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Collins for the marriage of her youngest daughter, Ruth Emmaline to Mr. Melvin Cole Shaible of Minneapolis, Kansas. The ceremony will be performed at the family home at Riverside, California, Tuesday, May 26, 1914, at 10:30 o'clock in the morning. The young people will be "at home" after July 15th, at Concordia, Kansas.

This wedding will be the culmination of a romance which started when Mr. Shaible and Miss Collins were students at the Kansas Wesleyan University of which institution he is a graduate. He is a splendid young man and has been a traveling salesman for the International Harvester Company. The bride is a daughter of the late Mr. A. O. Collins, a pioneer settler and for many years a prominent and wealthy man of this city.—Salina Journal.
