C. F. SHEDD is our most seriously injured 'Varsity man, and whose college and athletic career was cut short by a permanent injury resulting in a locked hip joint which has rendered him a cripple for life. In spite of his bitter experience he thinks that, on the whole, the benefits outweigh the detriments. As benefits he mentions free trips and the payment of expenses incident to being on a 'Varsity eleven. He considers the greatest detriment the vast amont of time spent in practice. Alluding to his injury he says: "If you get hurt you should have known better than to have played such a brutal game," but apparently considers the chances worth taking.
"Chick" has a fine position as Register of the United States Land Office at Lincoln.
