Announcements were received in Lincoln this week of the marriage of Miss Grace Lenore Cleaver of Columbus to Pardon Stewart Shepherd of Alliance, formerly of Lincoln. The ceremony took place at the First Congregational church in Omaha, October 16. Mr. Shepherd is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pardon B. Shepherd of Lincoln. Mrs. Shepherd's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cleaver of Columbus.

Pardon S. Shepard, 51, prominent highway engineer and a nephew of Mrs. E. M. Kuhl, was killed Thursday, Nov. 10, in a collilsion with a tractor-trailor truck near Hamel, Mo. Mr. Shepard was a native of Lincoln, moving to East St. Louis, Mo. about 20 years ago. He was assistant traffic and maintenance engineer for the Illinois division of highways at French Village, Mo. He was active in Scout work, a leader in traffic safety work and was associated with a number of civic and fraternal organizations. Services were held Sunday, Nov. 13, in East St. Louis.
