A Miss Lillian Robinson, of Worcester, Mass., accidentally stepped off the wharf on Thursday night. She had presence of mind enough to keep her hands in motion until aid reached her. Mr. Angus McLeod Smith, a young Virginian, plunged in, and reaching the girl, allowed her to catch him about the neck, thus disabling himself. Mr. B. W. Newman, of Pittsfield, Mass., came to the rescue of the two, but being almost exhausted, it was the timely work of Emil Patterson, a cook at the Sea View, to bring all these ashore. The girl was fully restored by the next morning.
