CAPTAIN DANIEL SMITH, son of MARY SAYLES and MAJOR WILLIAM SMITH, was born September 28, 1712 in Smithfield, Providence, Rhode Island,¹ and died June 6, 1769 in Smithfield, Providence, Rhode Island.

He married SUSANNAH WINSOR, daughter of MARY BARKER and REVEREND JOSHUA WINSOR. She was born June 19, 1715, and died in 1769 in Smithfield, Providence, Rhode Island.
