Luther C. Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Brown, 513 North George street, and Miss Dorothy K. Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Smith, 16 North Highland avenue, were married at 7 o'clock last evening. The ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Carl R. Simon in Union Lutheran church in the presence of relatives and friends of the couple. The bride had for her only attendant, Miss Vivian Slabaugh, York, and Mr. Brown had for his best man, his brother, Leonard Brown. The ushers were William and Charles Brown, brothers of the bridegroom. The bride wore a white satin dress made on princess lines with a floor length skirt ending in a train. The bodice was finished with a V neckline and trimmed with pearl clips. The long tight sleeves formed a point over the hand. She carried a shower bouquet of white roses and wore a tiara of roses. Miss Slabaugh wore a pale blue net dress made with a floor length skirt and short puffed sleeves. With this she wore a tiara of yellow roses, carried a bouquet of yellow roses. While the guests were assembling, Miss Sarah Stahle, church organist, played a recital. Following the ceremony, there was a reception at the home of the bride's parents for the bridal party and members of the families. After a wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Brown will be at home to their friends at 53 North Newberry street. Mrs. Brown is a graduate of the William Penn High school, class of 1936, and is employed at the Bon Ton Department stare. Mr. Brown is a graduate of the William Penn High school class of 1934 and is employed at the American Chain and Cable company.

Mrs. Dorothy K. Brown of York, and William I. Conaway, Dallastown RD 1, were married March 19 at Union Lutheran church. Rev. Robert J. Calhoun officiated at the single ring ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey R. Smith of 1909 Filbert street, wore a brown and white wool pin check dress with white accessories and a white orchid corsage.
She was attended by Mrs. Albert Inners, who wore a navy blue suit with navy accessories and a corsage of pink camelias. Albert Inners was best man.
The bridegroom is employed by Colonial Products company, Dallastown. The newlyweds are living at 2400 Arlington street.

DALLASTOWN — William I. Conaway Sr., 79, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Dallastwn, died at 12:30 a.m. Friday at Myrtle Beach Manor. He was the husband of Dorothy K. (Smith) Conaway.
The services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. Burial will be in Otterbein United Methodist Cemetery, Spry. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Conaway was born on Sept. 29, 1914, at Dallastown. He was tshe son of the late Harry E. and Lucinda E. (Daugherty) Conaway.
He was a purchasing agent for 20 years with Colonial Products Co., Red Lion. He was a member of the U.S. Cast Guard during World War II, serving the American Merchant Marine. He was a member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, Conway, S.C., and had lived at Myrtle Beach the past 30 years.
Mr. Conaway also is survived by a daughter, Donna L. Bwon of Landenberg, Chester County; two son, Sharry A. Conaway of Hatboro, Montgomery County, and William I. Conaway of Oklahoma City, Okla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Emil J. Engelman, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, Dallastown.

The service will be noon today, with Amaranth service by the Red Lion Court at 11:45 a.m., at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. Burial will be in Otterbein United Methodist Cemetery in Spry. Viewing will be 11 to 11:45 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Conaway was born Nov. 8, 1917, in York. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Grace (Geiselman) Smith.
She was member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Conway, Myrtle Beach Garden Club and past Royal Matron of Myrtle Beach Amaranth Lodge 19.
Mrs. Conaway is survived by a daughter, Donna L. Brown of Landenberg; two stepsons, Harry A. Conaway of Hatboro, and William I. Conaway Jr. of Yukon, Okla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
