Harvey R. Smith

Harvey R. Smith, 66, husband of Grace R. Geiselman Smith, 1909 West Filbert street, was dead on arrival at York Hospital at 7:30 p. m. Saturday.

Mr. Smith who had a catering business, was a life member of Reliance Fire Company and a member of Vigilant and Lincolnway Fire Companies.

He also belonged to Zeredetha Lodge 451, Free and Accepted Masons; Yorktowne Royal Arch Chapter 304; Gethsemane Commandery 75; York Council 21, Royal and Select Masters; Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg; York Forest 30, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and York County Shrine Club.

Born in Frederick county, Md., he was a son of the late Zachariah and Catherin Keeney Smith. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church Woodsboro, Md.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. William Conaway, Whiteville, N. C.; a granddaughter, Dona Louise Brown, Phoenixville, Pa.; two brothers, Norman A. Smith, Seven Valleys; Alton R. Smith, 644 West Princess street, and a sister, Mrs. Blanche L. Donsife, Woodsboro.

The Rev. Herbert L. Rice, pastor of Bethany United Church of Christ, will officiate at funeral services at 11 a. m. Wednesday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 East Market street. Interment will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery, near Woodsboro.

Mrs. Grace R. Smith

Mrs. Grace R. Smith, 77, of 1909 W. Filbert St., died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at Rest Haven-York.

She was the wife of the late Harvey R. Smith.

Mrs. Smith was born in York and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Geiselman.

She was a member of Rocky Hill Church, Woodsboro, Md., and the Order of the Eastern Star, York Chapter 169.

Survivors include:

One daughter — Mrs. William Conaway, 1990 W. Philadelphia St.

A granddaughter; two stepgrandchildren, and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

A brother — James Geiselman, 188 Eastland Ave.; four sisters; Mrs. Florence McClain, New Freedom; Mrs. Leanora Rabenstein, 303 S. George St.; Mrs. Hazel Heffner, 450 S. George St., and Mrs. Dorothy Wantz, 2607 W. Market St.

The Rev. Myrl T. Slaybaugh, retired United Brethren in Christ minister, will officiate at funeral services at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St. Burial will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery, Woodsboro.
