William A. Spicer

PHILLIPSBURG — William A. Spicer, 71, Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, May 30, 1989, at the St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.

Mr. Spicer was born Jan. 27, 1918, in Phillipsburg and was a lifetime resident. He owned an electrical motor repair business. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Phillipsburg, the Experimental Air Craft Association and the Piepentol Air Craft Association.

Survivors include his wife, Annabelle of the home; two sons, Michael of Clay Center and D. Pat of Hays; a daughter, Linda Almson of Lawrence; a sister, Alice K. Hutchinson of Clay Center; and three grandchildren.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. today at the Presbyterian Church, the Rev. James Hawthorne officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillispburg.

Memorials may be made to the William Spicer Family Scholarship Fund.

Visitation will be at the church.

The Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, is in charge.

PHILLIPSBURG — Annabelle Spicer, 84, Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Phillips County Hospital Long Term Care.

She was born April 16, 1918, in Phillipsburg to E.L. and Bertha May (Hickman) Morgan.

She married Willaim A. "Bill" Spicer on Dec. 20, 1941, in Russell. He died May 30, 1989. She was a retired office manager, former school teacher and city librarian. She was a lifelong Phillipsburg resident. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg.

Survivors include two sons, Michael, Clay Center and D. Pat, Hays; a daughter, Linda Spicer Almon, Lawrence; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at United Presbyterian Church, Phillipsburg, with the Rev. Mark R. Simonds officiating; burial in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today at Ollivv-Boeve Memorial Chapel, and until 2 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the church or Phillipsburg library.
