TWO JAILED AFTER BRAWL IN SHAWNEE

Harold Stanbaugh, 36, 231 South Union street, Troy, and Con furrow, also of Troy, are being held in the Piqua jail, following a brawl early Sunday morning in front of a Cleveland street residence in which Stanbaugh received severe lacerations above his left eye when he was allegedly hit on the head with an auto crank.

The two Troy men were on their way home from spending some time Saturday night at The Village, St. Marys road, when they picked up three men on the road and took them to town. The hitchhikers gave a Cleveland street address and when they reached their destination and the men alighted, they began hitting the Troy men with beer bottles, it was reported to police.

Stanbaugh was taken to Piqua Memorial hospital where 10 stitches were necessary to close the wound on his head.
