OBITUARY.

Mr. Jesse S. Stambaugh, an old and highly respected citizen of Jackson township, departed this life on Saturday, November 25, after a lingering and painful illness, which he bore with great christian fortitude. Mr. Stambaugh was a sufferer from dropsy for several years. The immediate cause of his death, however, was pneumonia. He was a kindly neighbor and will be missed by many whom he befriended. Through thrift and economy he accumulated a competency of this world's good. He leaves a widow, three sons and one daughter to mourn their loss. Mr. Stambaugh was aged about 70 years. His remains will be interred at Pigeon Hill church this morning at 9 o'clock.
