John M. Stambaugh

John Maurice Stambaugh, 55, Margate, N.J., formerly of York, died Sunday at Atlantic City Hospital after a few days' illness.

He was born July 19, 1916, in Stewartstown, and was the son of the late Curtis S. and Minnie Sinner Stambaugh, York. He was graduated in 1933 from York High School and in 1934 from York Collegiate Institute. He is also a 1938 graduate of Gettysburg College, and did graduate work at the Wharton School of Finance. He was a member of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity.

His survivors include his widow, Ruth S. Parsons Stambaugh, Margate; two step-daughters, Mrs. Thomas Becker, Tuckerton, N.J., and Mrs. Gary Taylor, Daleville, Ala.; one grandson and a sister, Edna M. Stambaugh, Magnolia, Mass.

Interment will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery where the Rev. Joseph Seitz, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Spring Grove, will conduct graveside ceremonies at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Arrangements are in charge of the Brown Mortuary, Margate.
