Spring Grove, Nov. 14—Two weddings took place Saturday, the brides living in adjoining houses at this place, and neither having any knowledge of the other's matrimonial intentions. The members of each household were surprised today when they learned of their neighbor's marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Strausbaugh and Mrs. Jeremiah Sinner are next-door neighbors on North East street, and last evening Miss Amy Strausbaugh, daughter of the first named, and George Hoover, a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Hoover, of Menges' Mills, were married at the home of the Rev. David Baker, a Dunkard minister at Hanover. The bridegroom is assistant station agent at the Thomasville depot of the Western Maryland railroad. Miss Minnie K. Sinner, daughter of Mrs. Sinner, and Curtis S. Stambaugh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Stambaugh of Admire, were married last evening at 8 o'clock at the parsonage of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church by the Rev. Martin L. Clare. THe bridegroom is a carpenter employed in York. At a family wedding dinner held at the Sinner home today the following were present: Mr. and Mrs. John Sinner and children, Pauline and Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. CHarles Sinner and son, Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Stambaugh, Levi Rearich and Mrs. Jeremiah Sinner.

Curtis S. Stambaugh died at 2:15 a. m. today at his residence, 1417 East Market street. He was 68 years old. He had been employed at the York County National bank for the past 25 years. Mr. Stambaugh was a member of Advent Lutheran church, LaBott P. O. S. of A., and Chosen Knights Commandery 174, Knights of Malta. Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Edna M. Stambaugh, at home; a son, J. Maurice Stambaugh, Dumont, N. J.; two brothers, Harvey Stambaugh, Dover, and Willis Stambaugh, York, and a sister, Mrs. Robert M. Lau, Spring Grove R. D. 1. The body was removed to the Strack and Strine funeral home, 1205 East Market street.

YORK — Edna M. (Stambaugh) Gross, 81, of West manchester Township, died March 18 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of J. Rutter Gross.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, 29 S. George St., York. Officiating will be the Rev. William C. Snyder, associate pastor. The Everhart-Jackson-Heffner Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
