Railroad Accident.

This (Saturday) morning, at 10 o'clock, as the train of cars from Willimantic for this city was coming through Union Village, (Manchester), the locomotive came in contact with a horse and beer wagon driven by a Mr. Stanley, of Rockville, who was crossing the track on the cross-road. The wagon was broken in pieces, and Mr. S. received a severe blow in the head and back. he was hurled out of the wagon and over the track, striking the ground viciously. When taken up, he was senseless, and his head was bleeding badly. The wagon was carried several rods, and the fragments thrown off by the cow-catcher. A barrel of beer which was in the wagon, was carried about twenty rods along the track. As soon as the train could be stopped, assistance was sent to the injured man, who was conveyed to a doctor's in the village, and is now under treatment. His injuries, we learn, are of a serious nature.—Times

The Mr. Stanley alluded to in the above was Mr. John Stanley of Rockville, where he was taken soon after the accident. We learn that he died on Saturday.
