Barrent Bleecker Steers, 81, who died Wednesday at his home 127 Park avenue after a three weeks' illness, will be buried this afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Thomas R. Good, pastor of the Union Presbyterian church, of which Mr. Steers was a member, will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Parkview cemetery.
Mr. Steers, who was the son of the late Jacob V. Steers and Sarah Vrooman, was born in this city and spent virtually all his life here. He attended the Albany Academy early in life, and was also a student in the Fort Edward Institute. For many years he had been employed in the General Electric company, and last fall retired owing to illness.
Besides his widow, Celestia A. Tripp, he is survived by two daughters, Sarah C. Steers and Mrs. William M. Myer, and three sons, Burton B., Raymond A. and Irving E. Steers of this city. There are also six grandchildren, also of Schenectady.
The house will be open from 11 to 1 o'clock today for the convenience of friends. Burial will be private.

The death of Celestia Amelia Steers, 86, widow of the late Barrent Bleecher Steers, occurred Thursday night after a brief illness. Born in Cicero, N. Y., she resided in Schenectady for the past 70 years.
The funeral will be held this morning at 11 o'clock from Glock's funeral home, Jay street. Rev. Clayton Potter of the First Reformed Church will officiate. Interment will take place in the family plot in Park Viek cemetery.
The survivors are two sons, Burton B. and Raymond A. Steers; two daughters, Sarah C. and Mrs. William M. Myer, all of Schenectady; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
