The marriage of Mrs. Frances Steers of 1306 Union street, Schenectady, and Howard Townsend Terrell of Albany took place Saturday at St. John's Episcopal church, Lake Goerge. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. ? C. Harriman, rector of St. Peter's church, Albany, who is passing the summer at Lake George.
The bride is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore E. Button of Schenectady and is a sister of Major Scott Button, also of Schenectady. She has been for many years secretary to the State Board of Regents and the State Commisioner of Education.
Mr. Terrell has been connected with the State Education Department for many years.
After a motor trip through the Adirondacks, Mr. and Mrs. Terrell will live at 1306 Union street, Schenectady.

The condition of William V. Steers, the prominent young Schenectadian who was seriously injured in an automobile wrect in Glenville on Sunday, is to-day reported as being unchanged. It is not believed that he will recover, as in addition to sever bruises about the hips, which are crushed, he is internally injured. A. F. Knight, who is one of the leading golfers of the country, and who was Mr. Steers's companion on the memorable trip, is not badly injured, and he is able to be about. He secured the automobile, which was not badly damaged, and brought it back to Schenectady, where, after a few repairs, it will be ready for use again.

Schenectady, July 25.—The death of William V. Steers, who was internally injured in an automobile wreck near this city on Sunday, occured yesterday afternoon at his home in this city. Mr. Steers, who was a prominent society man, was thrown over a precipice by the overturning of the automobile in which he was riding.

The Rev. A. C. Sewall, D. D., of Troy, formerly pastor of the First Reformed church in Schenectady, officiated at the funeral of WIlliam V. Steers in that city yesterday. Mr. Steers died on Thursday as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident on the previous Sunday, while riding through the town of Glenville. The services were held from his late residence, No. 1307 Union street, and they were attended by a large number of friends from this vicinity. The bearers were Messrs. Burton, Raymond and Irving Steers, all brothers of the deceased, and J. Scott Button, a brother-in-law.

The funeral of Mrs. Howard Townsend Terrell of Scotia, the former Miss Nellie Frances Button of Waterford, was conducted at 10:30 a.m. yesterday from Baxter's Funeral Home in Scotia. Interment was in the family plot in Vale Cemetery. Rev. Bertram deHeus Atwood, pastor of the First Reformed Church of Scotia, officiated at both the funeral home and cemetery. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Button of Waterford, Mrs. Terrell died Friday at the Atlantic City Hospital after a brief illness. She resided in Scotia most of her life and was well known in educational circles. Mrs. Terrell was married to William Vrooman Steers in 1896. He died in 1903, and in 1930 she was married to Howard Terrell. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Edwin Steers of Madison, N. J., and William Vrooman Steers of Cranford, N. J.; one sister, Miss Mary E. Button of Stone Harbor, N. J., four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Howard T. Terrell, 78, a retired employe of the State Department of Education, died yesterday in the Ingersoll Memorial Home for Aged Men, Schenectady.
Born in Albany, he was an employe of the state more than 50 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
He is survived by two stepsons, T. E. Steers, Madison, N. J., and W. V. Steers, Cranford, N. J. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. tomorrow in Baxter's Funeral Home, Schenectady. Burial will be in Albany Rural Cemetery.
