Mrs. A. J. Freeman received a letter from the family of ex-Postmaster Reamer in which he mentioned an accident resulting fatally to Harry Stultz, step-son of A. H. Snider, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, a well-known former resident of this city, who used to own the Bee Hive store building. Harry was out with some young companions who were in boats, shooting duck on the water. In transferring a loaded double-barrel shot fun from another boat to the one he occupied he took hold of the gun by the muzzle and drew it toward him, when some movement of one boat caused the hammers to strike the edge of the boat discharging barrels into the side of the unfortunate youth, passing through the heart. Death was of course almost instantaneous, though he gasped out the words, "My God, I'm shot." as his life blood gushed out of the gaping wound in his side. The bereaved parents will have the heartfelt sympathy of this community.
