OSCAR JAMES SUTHERLAND, son of ESTHER JANE SUTHERLAND and ANDREW WESSEL SUTHERLAND, was born July 27, 1848 in Wisconsin,⁴⁷⁹⁹ and died March 2, 1912 in Green County, Wisconsin.¹¹⁸²⁰ He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, Green, Wisconsin.⁴⁵⁶

He married CHARLOTTE COWING on April 13, 1873 in Green County, Wisconsin.⁴²¹ She was born in September, 1854 in Albany, Green, Wisconsin,⁷⁶⁹⁰ and died January 16, 1935 in Monroe, Green, Wisconsin.⁷⁶⁹⁰ She is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, Green, Wisconsin.^{7690, 456}

Mrs. Sutherland, Monroe, 80, Dead

MONROE—Mrs. Charlotte Sutherland, 80, died suddenly her Wednesday noon at her home, 1618 7th st., from effects of a heart attack last week.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p. m. at the Shriner-Neushwander funeral home, and at 1:30 p. m. in the Universalist church, with the Rev. L. R. Robinson and the Rev. N. E. McLaughlin, Wausau, officiating.

Charlotte Cowing was born at Albany and was married in 1873 to O. J. Sutherland. They lived in Sylvester township before moving to Monroe. Her husband died in 1912; a son, Ray, died in 1905, and a daughter, Erma, died in 1906.

She is survived by a brother, E. R. Cowing, Watertown, S. D., and a cousin, Miss Erma Holten, Elkhorn.
