SYLVESTER—At her home in the town of Madison, September 23, 1887, Mrs. Harlow Sylvester, aged 58 years.

Mrs. Fannie (Leitch) Sylvester was born at Fredericksburg, Va., Nov. 28, 1818. She was married to Harlow Sylvester at Paris, Ill., June 13, 1839, and removed to Wisconsin in 1844, suffering all the hardships that new settlers have to undergo. She and her husband cast their lot in what afterward became the town of Sylvester, Green county, Wis., and removed to Madison in 1867, to better educate their children. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn her loss, Charles, Ellen (now Mrs. Drake), George, of Cotzhauzen, Sylvester, Sheiber & Sloan attorneys, of Milwaukee, and Herbert the youngest.
