ERNEST GORDON TANNER, son of EMILY BELLE DYER and EDWIN WALKER TANNER, was born November 2, 1920 in Saline County, Missouri,⁷⁰⁶ and died June 23, 1963 in Miami, Saline, Missouri.⁷⁰⁶ He is buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Fairville, Saline, Missouri.⁴⁵⁶

Funeral Services At Marshall For E. G. (Dick) Tanner

THOMAS HILL — Funeral services were held Tuesday in Marshall for Ernest Gordon (Dick) Tanner, 42, who died Sunday night at his home near Marshall.

Mr. Tanner was the son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matlock of Thomas Hill. He had been in ill health since January.

Surviving are his wife, the former Vernita Matlock, and three small children, Douglas, Dixie and Miles; his mother, Mrs Emille Tanner, Marshall; and two brothers, Ray Tanner, Marshall and Warren Tanner, Kansas City.

Burial was in Marshall.

Those attending the funeral from Thomas Hill were Mr. and Mrs. Matlock, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Land, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Land, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Kimbrough, Roy Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Kimbrough.
