Arthur Metcalf of the Congregational church officiated. Mr. and Mrs. White for the present will be at home to friends at 309 South Penn. avenue. Miss Wallace is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace, and having grown to womanhood in this city has a host of friends who wish her much happiness. Mr. White has lived in Independence four years and has a responsible position with the National Supply Co.
Evening Star, June 16, 191511032
Hale White, for many years an employee of the National Supply company in its main office here, died early this forenoon at the I. B. Wallace home, 309 South Pennsylvania avenue, of Bright's disease, of which he had been a suffer for a long time. Funeral arrangements cannot be announced until word is received from his parents.
Hale H. White was born at Bellefontaine, Ohio, September 12, 1882, but when quite young moved with his parents to Carthage Mo., which was his home until he came to Independence in 1902. Soon after coming to this city he entered the employ of the National Supply company and had remained with that company up to the time of his death.
In 1906 Mr. White was united in marriage to Miss Katherine Wallace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. B. Wallace and is survived by his wife, baby daughter, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. White, and sisters, Miss Bess White and Mrs. Lena Carey of Detroit, Mich.
Mr. White was of a very quiet unostentatious disposition, but he had many warm friends who were surprised and shocked when the news of his demise was carried abroad this morning, for few knew he was seriously ill. His faithfulness and efficiency as a workman are evidenced by his long service with the National Supply company. The bereaved family have the deepest sympathy of the community.
