Harold Brumleve and Miss Dolores Webster of this city were united in marriage at 6 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Christian church parsonage in Charleston, Rev. H. L. Hayes officiating. Miss Maxine Brumleve, a sister of the groom, and Stanley Webster, a brother of the bride, were the attendants. Miss Webster was attired in a white crepe skirt with fitted blouse of white lace and wore a corsage of gardenias. Miss Brumleve wore a dress of rose colored shantung of the peasant style with white accessories and a corsage of Johanna Hill roses and blue delphinium.
Mrs. Brumleve, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Webster, attended the Mattoon High School and is employed at the Brown Shoe Company factory. Mr. Brumleve is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Brumleve, 2420 Shelby avenue. He was graduated from the Mattoon High School and is employed by the Atlas Imperial Diesel Engine Company. They will reside in an apartment at 1220 Broadway.

MATTOON — Harold Joseph Brumleve, 66, of Lake Paradise died at 5:53 a.m. Sunday (June 13, 1992) in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home with Rev. John Nevius officiating. Burial will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Brumleve was born June 27, 1915, in Mattoon, a son of Joseph R. and Alma Myrtle Drake Brumleve. He married Dolores Amanda Webster June 26, 1938, in Charleston. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, David H. of Lake Paradise, Stephen P. of Omaha, Neb., and Mark Joseph of Spokane, Wash.; one brother, Raymond L. of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Maxine) Shearhod of Hoffman Estates and Mrs. John (Wilma) Whitehead of Lake Paradise, and three grandchildren.
One sister, Lorene, preceded him in death.
Mr. Brumleve was a member of the Alliance Church of Mattoon, the Moose and Eagles lodges and a member and past president of the Lions Club of Greendale, Wis.
He formerly worked at Atlas Diesel Co. in Mattoon and for 35 years was employed as a value engineer at Rexnord Manufacturing Co. in Milwaukee, Wis. He was a charter member of the Society of Value Engineers and past president of the Wisconsin chapter. He also taught value engineering and served as a consultant to the University of Wisconsin for many years.

MATTOON — Donald L. Johnson, 84, of Mattoon, died at 2:35 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 1009, at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, with the Rev. James E. Warren of Marion, Iowa, and the Rev. Donald R. Benson of Mattoon, officiating. Burial will be in the Neoga Memorial Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at graveside by the V.F.W. Post 4325 of Mattoon. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with 7:30 p.m. Masonic rites conducted by the Neoga Masonic Lodge.
He was born July 29, 1914, in Toledo, a son of Frank ad Gertie (Howard) Johnson. He married Alice Lowe June 20, 1933 in Mattoon; she died Aug. 18, 1983. He married Dolores A. (Webster) Brumleve in Sept. 1, 1984 in Mattoon; she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donna Sue Wills of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Mrs. Roger (Sally Lou) Meanor of Rochester, Penn.; stepsons, David Brumleve of Mattoon, Illinois, Steve Brumleve of Ballwin, Missouri, and Mark Brumleve of Spokane, Washington; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Warren of Mattoon, Illinois; special friends, Mary Preece of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Mrs. Lisa Chamberlain of Orlando, Florida, Larry, Terry, Danny and John.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Johnson was a retired marine superintendent for Campbell Transportation Co. in Pittsburgh, Penn. He was a 50 year member of Masonic Lode 279 of Neoga, Consistory of Danville, Ansar Shrine of Springfield, a charter member of the Lions Club in Mattoon, The I.O.O.F. Lodge in Neoga, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mattoon, Disabled American Veterans, the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Club both in Mattoon.
Memorials are suggested to the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon and the Friedreich's Ataxia Foundation, or the American Cancer Fund.

MATTOON — Dolores Amanda Brumleve, 94, of Mattoon, IL., died at 03:50 a.m., Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
The funeral service in her honor will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL. Rev. Bob Clark will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial will take place in Dodge Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Brumleve was born August 17, 1917, in Mattoon, IL, daughter of Stanley E. Sr. and Izella (Gullion) Webster. She married Harold J. Brumleve, in Charleston, on June 25, 1938. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1982. She later married Don L. Johnson on Sept. 9, 1984, in Mattoon. He preceded her in death October 15, 1998.
She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Paul and his wife, Sally Brumleve, of Lakewood, CO, and Mark Joseph and his wife Connie Brumleve, of Spokane, WA.; Her loving sister, Helen Alwardt, of Mattoon; Three grandchildren, Harold J., and his wife, Erin Brumleve, of Denver, CO, Amanda J., and her husband Dave Kotlan of Spokane, WA, and Megan J. Brumleve, also of Spokane, WA; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands; one son, David Brumleve; and one brother, Stanley Webster, Jr.
Dolores was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles, and the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows Rebekah Assembly. She worked as a sales clerk for Sears for ten years.
Grandma Do, as she was so affectionately known, will be greatly missed by her family.
