Stanley Webster Dies Here Today

Stanley Emmet Webster, 65, of 717 Prairie, died at 7:45 a.m. today at Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health two years and entered the hospital Thursday.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Mitchell-Jerdan funeral home with Rev. Joseph I. Somers officiating. Burial will be in Dodge Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Webster was born Jan. 2, 1896, in Casey, a son of Leonard and Sarah Billings Webster. He was married to Anna May Jenkins at Terre Haute, Ind., on April 18, 1938. She survives. Until forced to retire in 1959 because of ill health, Mr. Webster was a painting contractor.

Besides he widow, he leaves two sons, Stanley E. Jr., Mattoon; and James Leonard, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Brumleve, Ferguson, Mo.; and Mrs. David Elam, Morocco, Africa, where her husband is stationed with the U.S. Navy; and 11 grandchildren.
