Pansy Weller

Pansy Sawyer Weller, 91, of 740 East Drive died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Hospital after an illness. She was a native of Palestine, Tex., and had lived in Beaumont since 1905.

She and her husband were founders of Weller Hotel Supply and Gift Shop. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was a president of the City Council of Parent Teachers Association and active in women's clubs.

She is survived by her husband, George W. Weller of Beaumont, four sons, John Walker Weller, George Arnold Weller, Fenner Reese Weller, all of Beaumont, and Charles Elwood Weller of San Antonio; one daughter, Mrs. Glen (Alcye Mae) Hill of Kissame, Fla.; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the L. M. Williams & Sons Chapel with Mr. Glenn F. Moore, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.

Pallbearers will be George A. Weller Jr., Bruce H. Weller, Andrew S. Weller, Fenner R. Weller Jr., John W. Weller Jr., Charles Weller, Steven Weller and Jimmy Weller.

Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of L. M. Williams & Sons Funeral Directors.

George Weller

George Walker Weller, 96, of 740 East Drive died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 1979, at Schlesinger's Geriatric Center after an illness.

He was a native of Russellville, Ky., and a Beaumont resident since 1901. Mr. Weller and his late wife, Pansy, Sawyer, founded the Weller Hotel Supply and Gift shop which he managed with his sons, F.R. and John Weller, until his retirement in 1968. He was a charter member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his four sons, F.R. Weller Sr., George A. Weller and John W. Weller, all of Beaumont, and Charles E. Weller of San Antonio; a brother, Ernest E. Weller of Wichita Falls, Texas; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were to be today at 4 p.m. in the L.M. Williams and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Glenn F. Moore officiating. Pallbearers were to be George A. Weller Jr., Bruce H. Weller, Andrew S. Weller, Fenner R. Weller Jr., John W. Weller Jr., Charles Weller, Steven Weller and Jimmy Weller. Interment was to be in the Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of L.M. Williams and Sons Funeral Directors.
