The death is noted of Capt. George W. White, on Sabbath morning at the home of his father, Rev. H. S. White, at Romeo. Capt. White was home recovering from a sprained ankle, when an attack of pneumonia caused his death after an illness of but two days. He was 52 years of age and unmarried. Capt. White was well known in Milford back in the early nineties when his father was pastor of the Methodist Church here. He was then first mate of the great lakes steamer Edward, of which he later became captain, and was accustomed to spend winters at his parents' home here.
