Vearl T. White, 51, a representative of the Prudential Insurance Company, and a resident here for 12 years, died about 6 o'clock last night at the Georgetown Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he had undergone heart surgery earler in the day.
The residence in Rushville is at 241 West 12th Street.
Mr. White had undergone treatment and observation for a heart condition last April at the Georgetown Hospital, and returned here to resume his work on a restricted schedule, relieving him of the duties as manager of the local insurance office. An operation on his heart was undertaken yesterday as a means of ovecoming the ailment. An autopsy was to be held today, according to word received here.
He was accompanied to Washington by his wife, June White, who was with him at the time of his death.
Mr. White was born in Union City, Indiana, and formerly lived in Richmond, where he graduated from high school. He received his insurance experience with the Richmond district office, prior to being assigned here as the sub-district manager.
In addition to the widow, he is survived by a brother, Harold White of Los Angeles, and two sisters, Mrs. Russell Paine, Columbus, Ind., and Mrs. George Rosenbush of Union City. He is also survived by a foster-child, Phyllis Ann Noel, at home.
Funeral arrangemetns were not known this afternoon and will be announced later.

Memorial services for June M. White, 78, of 1217 S. Andrews Drive, Rockledge, will be at t p.m. Monday at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Rockledge. No calling hours are scheduled.
Mrs. White died Monday at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge from injuries she sustained trying to stop her car form rolling after it had shifted into gear.
