Mrs. Katherine Williams announces the marriage of her daughter, Florence May, of Topeka, to Mr. Ernest M. Nipper, also of Topeka, which took place Christmas Day at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth J. Gleason. The ceremony was read by the Rev. D. H. Fisher before a fireplace banked with ferns and white chrysanthemums, and lighted tapers in branched candelabra. The tapers were lighted by Miss Jacqueline Gleason, niece of the bride. The couple's only attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Couch, also of Topeka. A simple afternoon frock of teal blue crepe was worn by the bride with a shoulder corsage of Johanna Hill roses and orchid sweet peas. Her matron of honor, Mrs. Couch, wore a dress of black alpaca with a corsage of Johann Hill roses and pink sweet peas. A small reception for the relatives and a few intimate friends attending the wedding immediately followed the ceremony. Mrs. M. J. Gleason presided at the tea table. Out-of-town guests for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Couch, Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew N. Goodwin, Topeka; Miss M. Phey Dumars, Lusk, Wyo.

INDEPENDENCE — Ernest M. Nipper, 61, was found dead at his plumbing shop with a gunshot wound in his head. County Coroner C. E. Gollier said the wound was apparently self-inflicted. A .22 caliber revolver was lying at Nipper's feat.

Services for Ernest M. Nipper, 61, of Independence, Kan., formerly of Topeka, were Monday afternoon with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Other services were Monday morning in the Episcopal Church at Independence. He died Friday at his home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1902, in Rolla, Mo. He was employed by a plumbing contractor in Topeka before moving to Independence in 1952.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Florence Nipper, and a son, Lee Nipper, both of the home; and a brother, Allen Nipper of Long Beach Calif.
The Potts Funeral Home of Independence was in charge of arrangements.

Ill a week, Florence Mae Nipper, 66, Independence, died Sunday at Neosho Memorial Hospital.
She had resided at Neosho Manor the past three years. Born in Topeka, she moved to Independence in 1952. She was married Dec. 25, 1937, in Manhattan to Ernest M. Nipper, who died Dec. 13, 1963. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Independence.
Survivors include a son and a sister.
Graveside rites will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. Gibson-Koch Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
