WILLIAM DEAN WILLIS, 69, of 4636 Bailey Drive, Limestone Acres, Milltown, died Sunday of complications from a stroke in Christiana Hospital.
Mr. Willis, a research chemist for 35 years at Hercules Inc. Research Center, retired in 1982. He was a member of Hercules Men's Club.
He was a 1947 chemistry major from William & Mary College, Williamsburg, Va. He was lifetime member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Virginia Zeta Chapter.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Christine M.; and two daughters, Cathy L. Willis of Barre, Vt., and Karen J. Willis at home.
Services will be at 11:45 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, North Du Pont Highway, Minquadale, where friends may call at 11:15. Burial will be in the adjoining memorial park.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to American Heart Association, Wilmington, or Easter Seal Society of Del-Mar Inc., Wilmington.
