Miss Hammond Is Wedded

Miss MarJean Hammond's marriage to Lieutenant Alvin F. (Dick) Woolslayer was solemnized by Frank J. Mosley in a simple ceremony Tuesday evening at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Hammond, 152 Kelsey avenue.

The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Woolslayer of Bountiful.

The bride chose for her wedding ensemble a navy blue tailleur with accessories of navy and white. Two white orchids were pinned at her shoulder. Miss June Sperry was her only attendant. Ed L. Watson served as best man for the bridegroom.

After the ceremonty the couple received their friends at an informal reception at the home of the bride's parents.

Lieutenant and Mrs. Woolslayer will make their home in San Diego, Cal., where he is stationed with the coast artillery of the United States army.

Marjean Woolslayer died Oct. 14, 2005, at age 82.

Marjean Hammond was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Logan, Utah. She was a homemaker who moved to Portland in 1952. In 1942 she married Alvin; he died in 2004.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Seaman; sons, Gary and Kent; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Private service. Remembrances to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Arrangements by Skyline Funeral Home.
