VIRGIL JAMES YATES was born May 6, 1915 in Chandler, Lincoln, Oklahoma,⁷³⁷⁷ and died January 9, 2002.⁴⁵³² He is buried in Ridge Park Cemetery, Marshall, Saline, Missouri.⁴⁵⁶

He married MARY ANN IRVINE on October 12, 1940 in Fairville Baptist Church, Saline County, Missouri,¹¹¹⁷³ daughter of WINIFRED SLOAN GLENN and SAMUEL CLARK IRVINE. She was born in 1914 in Missouri, and died February 6, 1999.⁴⁵⁶ She is buried in Ridge Park Cemetery, Marshall, Saline, Missouri.⁴⁵⁶

MISS MARY ANN IRVINE IS MARRIED.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam C. Irvine of Marshall, Mo., announce the marriage of their daughter, Mary Ann, to Mr. Virgil James Yates of Miami, Mo. According to the Saline County Citizen the wedding was solemnized Saturday evening, October 12, at 8:30 o'clock in the Fairville Baptist Church, near Marshall.

The marriage service was read by the Rev. E. C. Wood, pastor, in the presence of the immediate families. The bride was becomingly attired in a cream lace dress.

Mrs. Yates is a granddaughter of the late Judge Allen Glenn and spent her high school days in this city, graduating from the Harrisonville High School in 1931. She also attended Missouri University.

Mr. Yates is a farmer and they have established their home on a farm in the Fairville community.

Harrisonville friends join the Cass County Democrat in best wishes for their happiness and success.
