BLANCHE JONES YOUNG, 87, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a former member of the golf team at the Washington Golf and Country Club, died Sept. 27 at the Carriage Hill nursing home in Arlington. She had a respiratory ailment.

Mrs. Young was born in Brunswick County, Va., and graduated from Farmville State Teachers College. She moved to the Washington area in the early 1920s and lived in Arlington. Her husband, Roslyn D. Young, died in 1974.

Survivors include two sons, R.D. Young Jr. of Chevy Chase and Joseph E. Young of Arlington, and three grandchildren.
